Exodus 20:18-20

Now all the people witnessed the thundering, lightning flashes, the sound of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking; and when the people saw it, they trembled and stood afar off. Then they said to Moses, “You speak with us, and we will hear; but let not God speak with us, lest we die,”

When I read this, my thoughts went to how many times people have asked us to pray for them, because they do not know how, or they feel that their prayers are not answered.

Prayer is nothing more than the transferring of our burdens to our Heavenly Father.

Psalm 6:9 tells us: The Lord has heard my supplication; The Lord will receive my prayer.

There are three things that help us when we pray.

  1. Quiet your mind from the chaos outside.

Psalm 62:5 reads: My soul, wait in silence for God only, for my hope is in Him.

2.Focus your mind:

Psalm 95:1 reads:

Oh come; let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation.

3. Pray what’s on your mind.

1st Peter 5:7 Reads;

Casting all your anxiety upon Him, because He cares for you.

Prayer is nothing more than the transferring of our burdens to our Heavenly Father.
