EPHESIANS 6: 14-17

 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;  above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.  And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

  When I read this scripture, I was reminded of a feral black cat that we have been feeding for the last three years.

We live in the country and feed the birds also, and this cat has found that by jumping up under a Pick-up that is parked near where we feed the birds, he can hide in the dark space on the under carriage.  As an unsuspecting bird that cannot see the cat, hops under the Pick-up, the cat jumps down to devour it. Much as the devil hides in the dark places, in his attempts to devour us.

1st Peter 5:8 tells us;

 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
