Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
When I read this scripture, it reminded me of a story that I had heard, and wanted to share.
One night as the little girl was getting ready for bed, her father told her not to forget to pray. She looked up at him, and said “Daddy, I do not know how to pray like you and mommy.” The father said, just tell God what you feel in your heart, and He will hear you.
A little while later, as he walked past her bedroom, he heard her reciting the alphabet. He waited until she was finished, and walked into her room. He said to her: “Why did you just bow your head and say your ABC? She replied: I did not know how to pray, so I just said all the letters, and God will put them together and know what I said.
I sometimes am at loss, as to how to speak to my heavenly Father, but in Romans 8:26 scripture tells me.
And in the same way, the Spirit also helps in our weakness: for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groaning to deep for words.
