Romans 11:18

do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast, remember that you do not support the root, the root supports you.

This scripture reminds me of the Douglas Fir tree, one of many that support one another.

My husband told me of a story, about a man that was clearing a piece of his land, and in doing so, found the roots from one tree had attached itself to the roots of a weaker tree. He said the roots of both trees become as one, by the stronger tree feeding and nourishing the weaker of the two.

In the same way, we as Christians need to be in the Word daily to be fed and nourished by God’s word, and by this we also feed and nourish our weaker brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ.

Romans 15:1 reads: Now we who are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of those without strength, and not just please ourselves.
