Luke 1:71

That we should be saved from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us,

This scripture is a harsh reminder of a time when my husband and I went to visit a couple we had recently met.

We knew they were not Christians, but their morals were very upbeat.  In fact we seemed to like each other at our first meeting.  The more we were around them the friendship grew.

They invited us to come by on a Saturday afternoon for a visit.  When we arrived I got out of the passenger side of the car, as I closed the door, a medium sized dog with teeth bared, and growling came at me.  My husband had by this time come around the back of the car.  When he saw the dog, he jumped in front of me and took the bites from the dog.

When I saw what was happening, I was reminded of how many time my Heavenly Father has stepped in front of me to protect me from danger.  To take the evil meant for me, from the attack.
