Jonah 1:17 to 2:1

And the Lord appointed a great fish to swallow Jonah, and Jonah was in the stomach of the fish three days and three nights. Then Jonah prayed to the Lord his God from the stomach of the fish.

Jonah was in the stomach of the fish for three days, and then remembered his Lord God.

This story is an example of how we as humans, when we get in to difficult situations that cause us distress, we try to solve these problems ourselves, and at the last, cry out to the Lord for help.

I remember a time when I was faced with a problem that concerned a woman that I had asked to help me with a concert that I was putting together.  Before I knew it she had taken over. Any decisions that concerned the concert, she took upon herself to put me down, and raise herself up.  I struggled with anger, and let others know what had happened.  This went on for over a week, and the Holy Spirit kept nudging me to pray to God about it

I finally went to the Lord God about the problem I had, and He gave me the answer that I needed to correct the situation, not in anger, but in love and forgiveness.
