Joshua 4:20

And those twelve stones which they took out of the Jordan, Joshua set up in Gilgal.  Then he spoke to the children of Israel, saying:  “When your children ask their fathers in time to come, saying, ‘What are these stones?’  “then you shall let your children know, saying,  ‘Israel crossed over this Jordan on r dry land’;  “for the LORD your God dried up the waters of the Jordan before you until you had crossed over, as the LORD your God did to the Red Sea.

We are told in so many ways, that our testimony is very important in our walk in life.  How instead of trying to preach to someone, it is better to tell our testimony, of what God has done in our lives.

When I read the scripture of God telling Joshua to set up those 12 stones, I was surprised to read that even God had a testimony. That he wanted generations to know what he did by placing the stones at Gilgal.

We each have a story of how God has worked in our lives, and we tell our children, who in turn tell their children.  These stories are examples of our lives, and how we survived. How God brought us through those times, and with-out His guidance we would not have been able to tell our stories.

Never be afraid to tell of God’s mercy and grace, that has helped us in our weakness. It is only by this, that through our sharing, we proclaim our Heavenly Father, and His Word:  Jesus Christ.
