You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.
When I reflect on this Scripture, I am overcome with who God is, and how much He is a Father to those that believe. We must always remember that God has entrusted His reputation to us.
How many times have you heard someone say” He proclaims to be a Christian, but watch him, he will cheat you and cannot be trusted. “I knew a man that had a truck he rented out, and he made the statement to me that “the only people he had trouble with, were those that said they were Christians.” He went on to say, “that these people were the worst to do business with.” He also went on to say, that they were the ones that lied to him, and he could not trust them.
What an awful representation of God, by some who claim to be Christians.
