Little Children, keep yourselves from idols.
Do you know people who are revered to idolatrous proportions? This is an important question, because sometimes even professing Christians elevate human beings until they supersede the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We all have at one time or another put someone on a pedestal, and then became crestfallen when they fail us. It might seem easier to pin our faith on people, then on a living God, but it can create a real obstacle to a living faith in Jesus Christ, and His sacrificial work on our behalf.
Human beings may lead us to the truth, but no human or human invention can claim to be the Truth, or stand between us and the Truth. You said, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the life, no man cometh unto the Father, but by me,” (John 14:6 KJV
