Proverbs 22:28

Do not remove the ancient landmark, which your fathers have set.

A landmark is an object or a feature of a landscape or town that has importance, or makes a place easily recognizable.

Some landmarks that are well known to us are: Big Ben in England, the Statue of of Liberty in America, the Great Wall of China.

These landmarks will someday crumble, and become rubble, because they cannot last forever. They are nothing more than iron, wood, and rock built by man.

But there is one landmark that will last forever in the heart of a Christian. That landmark is the Cross of Jesus Christ, on which He died for our sins. In John 1:1 and John 1:14 we read: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. That Word was Jesus Christ.

The Bible tells us in Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. It is never to late to accept what Jesus Christ did on our behalf. All we have to do is ask Him to come into our hearts today, and He will forgive us of all our sins.
