Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Today as I sat in Church listening to the sermon for the week. Our Pastor was speaking on Colossians 2: 16-23. The focus being on our lost connection of Jesus Christ as the head of our lives, and how we sometimes make Him less of a deity, by trying to control our own lives.
As I sat there looking at the podium, I noticed the wooden Cross behind the Pastor, and a vision came into my mind. In the vision I saw the pierced hands of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
When a nail is pierced into the hands, the hand begins to curl forward because the tendons are drawn up, causing the hands to cup. As I looked at this picture, the curling of the hands seemed to say “Come to me”
This reminded me of the song, that had called me to the alter many years ago: “O lamb of God, I come to thee.”
