And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine is this? for with authority commaandeth he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him.
Many times in my life, I have heard the word “NO”, but have even said the word myself.
This word has many meanings to it, including NO because I was rebelling, or NO because what I was asked to do, was against the rules
When I listen to the contents of the word, it seems to take on an existence of its own.
To the recipients of the word, they can use it either in dismay or happiness. Dismay because it caused hard feelings, or happiness because it gave joy.
When I think of what my Lord did for me on Calvary, do I cause dismay or happiness by what I say or do? The laws that were laid down for me as a child of a King are put in place to keep me safe, not to cause me harm.
Before I accepted the Lord Jesus Christ, I did what gave “Me” happiness. I lived only for myself, with no thought of this God I had heard about. I did not accept the word NO, because it went against what made me happy. The rules were not for me.
After my acceptance of Jesus Christ, I learned that God created the world and all the works therein. I also learned that His creation obeys Him, and follows the rules that He had laid out for His creation. I was in awe to learn that even the sun, moon, stars, rivers, clouds, did not say No to their existence, but obeyed the rules of God.
