Seek and ye shall find.
This scripture is like a person that has lost the keys to their car. They have another set, so the search is not as through as it would be, if they did not have the second set.
We are the same way when we pray to our Father who art in Heaven. We get caught up in the cares of the day, and our prayers are stale. We say a quick Father forgive me, and then in Jesus name end our prayer.
The scripture tells us to seek, and we shall find. Not just a quick petition, but on our knees in humble attitude, asking the Creator of Heaven and Earth to answer our request.
Jesus tells us in Matthew 7:7: “Ask and it shall be given to you: seek, and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened to you.”
Ask means to beg, and until we are able to see ourselves as we truly are: A sinner saved by Grace, we can only stand in awe of the God who loved us so much, that he sent His only begotten son to die on a cross to forgive us of our sins.
